Who We Are
Small Revolution Publishing is a dynamic hybrid-traditional publishing imprint founded with the mission to empower authors by providing a transparent and equitable publishing experience. At SRP, we understand the challenges authors face in navigating the complex publishing landscape. Our approach combines the best of traditional publishing's reach with the flexibility of self-publishing, ensuring that authors retain creative control while benefiting from our industry expertise.

We are authors that are sick of the publishing world. Querying literary agents, wasting money on over-priced self publishing packages, and traditional publishing houses that act like the mafia. We were sick of it, so we started our own Publishing Imprint.

Our business model is designed with the author's success in mind. We charge a modest one-time setup fee to cover administrative costs, allowing authors to manage their production services, at cost. This structure minimizes upfront expenses and maximizes potential earnings.

Traditional publishing houses and self-publishing companies usually give the author 10% royalty and keep the rest themselves. The author (you) have done all the hard work, and you get the smallest percentage of the royalties? We don't think that's right or ethical - so at SRP, we take the smallest royalty split (10%), and you keep the rest.
The average price someone pays for a self-publishing package in the USA in 2025 was $4000 - sometimes upwards of $15,000! If your manuscript is a fit with us, we charge a one-time $500USD set-up fee to cover our admin costs and the ISBN and then we walk with you through the editing, formatting and design of your book. This doesn't need to cost thousands - and companies that charge you that are pocketing a lot of money. We want to make publishing a book transparent, fun, easy, and profitable. We align our success with that of our authors.

As we grow, we aim to gradually assume more financial risks associated with publishing, further supporting our authors and expanding our portfolio. At SRP, we are committed to revolutionizing the publishing experience, making it more author-centric and accessible.

We call ourselves a "Hybrid" Publisher because we blend Traditional Publishing with Self Publishing:
Traditional Publishing - Not every book query submitted will be accepted to be published under our brand. (See submission guidelines below). That doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't a good book or you're not a good writer - it just means we are focused on niche markets, certain authors, and stories that allign with our brand and values.
Self Publishing - We aren't a big publishing house so we can't afford to pay for your editing, design and formatting. But, we've been around the block a few times (with several different companies) and we can walk with you through the process of hiring an editor (either one we recommend or guiding you into finding your own), designer, book formatter (for hardcover, paperback and eBook). You pay the freelancers directly, we don't take a cut, this significantly reduces your costs and maximizes your control.

Once you've gone through the important editing, design and formatting process, then we'll review your book again, and walk you through setting the price, and we'll then upload it for global distribution. You book will be available on Amazon (globally) and nearly every other bookseller around the world.

After your book is published we'll guide you through Book Launch, Marketing and give you options for PR and sales - again, you pay directly, we don't take a cut. We'll also promote your book through our newsletters and social media channels to help you succeed. Success isn't guaranteed in the publishing world, most self-published books sell less than 500 copies, that's ok, we're interested in stories that need to be told by authors who need to be heard. Sometimes publishing a book isn't about the sales but because writing it down is vital.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
At Small Revolution Publishing (SRP), we are dedicated to publishing works—both fiction and non-fiction—that inspire individuals to lead fulfilling lives, embrace personal growth, and engage in meaningful self-reflection. We welcome submissions that encourage readers to pursue physical, emotional, and spiritual development.
What We Publish:
-
Non-Fiction: We are interested in manuscripts that offer practical advice, personal development strategies, and insights into health, leadership, business, and spirituality. We are specifically interested in books about war zones, amazing stories, adventure, masculine initiation, most things in the Christian genre, Christian Living, missionary adventures, memoirs and spiritual growth.
-
Fiction: We seek stories that challenge conventional thinking, provoke thought, and inspire readers to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery. We love great character development, fiction with a message, adventures, coming of age, masculine initiation, humor, and great stories.
-
Children's Books: Submissions should focus on themes that promote personal growth, resilience, and the exploration of complex questions in an age-appropriate manner.

What We DON'T Publish:
-
We don't publish anything in the horror or romance genres, and we don't publishing anything that has woke themes or messages.

Use THIS FORM to submit your manuscript. If you submit through this form there is no need to email to follow up
-
Email Submissions: Send your proposal and manuscript as attachments (preferably in Word or PDF format) to info@smallrevolutionpublishin.com (we do not accept physical manuscripts.)
-
Response Time: We aim to review all submissions and respond within 6 to 8 weeks. Due to the volume of submissions, we may not be able to provide detailed feedback on every proposal but you will get a response from us that we received your submission and whether or not we will pursue your project. We think its ridiculous that you query literary agents and publishers and never hear a word from them. They're not really that busy!
Additional Considerations:
-
Original Work: Ensure that your submission is original and does not infringe upon the rights of others - please also explain your use of AI in your writing.
-
Previously Published Works: If your manuscript has been previously published or is under consideration elsewhere, please inform us in your submission.
-
Simultaneous Submissions: We accept simultaneous submissions; however, we request that you notify us immediately if your manuscript is accepted elsewhere.
At SRP, we are committed to fostering a collaborative relationship with our authors, guiding them through the publishing process to bring their visions to life. We look forward to discovering works that challenge, inspire, and empower readers to live their best lives.
